Training: Instructions for New Staff

Training for new staff members is called “Induction Training”. It is a set of courses you need to complete before you commence work, to keep you and our clients safe. It is also required by the rules that are set by the governing bodies who regulate our industry – again, to keep you and our clients safe.

We do a combination of face-to-face and online courses for Subee Newlake staff. Our online courses are hosted by an online training provider called ALTURA.

Please follow these instructions when you need to do your online INDUCTION TRAINING on ALTURA.

1. LOG IN TO STAFF PORTAL
Which you have already done, using the UNIQUE username and password you were emailed.

2. GO TO ALTURA
When the front page of the Staff Portal comes up, you can access training from this button (circled in pink) in the header:

or this one in the TRAINING column:

3. LOG IN TO ALTURA
A new window will open and the ALTURA login page will appear. Use the same UNIQUE username and password OR use your email address and your UNIQUE password.

4. MY LEARNING
Your Altura Dashboard has three tabs showing you where you are up to in your training schedule.
As a new staff member, you will see this.
The MY LEARNING TAB (top left, circled in pink) shows you this list of courses you will need to complete. As a new Staff member, you will only see this set. Under the second pink circle, you will see your progress.

5. START THE COURSES
Click on the maroon words below the heading and you will be taken straight to the place to start.
Work through these courses in your own time, and complete before the deadline you have been given.

6. COMPLETE THE COURSES
If you need to stop and come back later to complete courses, you will see in the MY LEARNING tab that your progress icon has changed. (circled in pink)

Click on the maroon words underneath the heading and you will be taken straight to the spot were at, and you can continue through to completion.

7. COMPLETING INDUCTION
Email hr@subeenewlake.com.au to let them know you are done and are ready for your first shift.
